Legacy Packaging is registered with the FDA and licensed by the DEA to handle Schedule II-V drugs and L1 chemicals. We also maintain certifications of compliance with all of the major governing bodies for pharmaceutical preparation companies:
cGMP refers to the Current Good Manufacturing Practice regulations enforced by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). cGMPs provide for systems that assure proper design, monitoring, and control of manufacturing processes and facilities. Adherence to the cGMP regulations assures the identity, strength, quality, and purity of drug products by requiring that manufacturers of medications adequately control manufacturing operations. This includes establishing strong quality management systems, obtaining appropriate quality raw materials, establishing robust operating procedures, detecting and investigating product quality deviations, and maintaining reliable testing laboratories.
Verified-Accredited Wholesale Distributors (VAWD) is an accreditation for pharmaceutical wholesale distribution facilities. Those wholesale distributors that achieve accreditation are in compliance with state and federal laws and NABP’s VAWD criteria and proudly display the VAWD Seal. Wholesale distributers that display the VAWD Seal as part of their accreditation have undergone a criteria compliance review, including a rigorous review of their operating policies and procedures, licensure verification, survey of facility and operations, background checks, and screening. Accredited facilities are reviewed annually and undergo a site survey every three years.
In addition, we have a 300-pallet DEA-approved vault space where we are authorized to store Schedule II through IV products.
